Your health, movement, strength, coordination, and much more will be evaluated. Our purpose is to help you, so please ensure to communicate if anything is hurting or bothering you during the examination. Your PT will recommend and prepare a course of treatments to ensure the quickest recovery and the best results and will discuss the recommendations with you. There will be some treatments performed the first day to get you started on your road to recovery. However, during the next visit, you will get into the full swing of your treatment plan. The amount of therapy needed will be discussed with you, depending on the recommendations of your PT. We offer many convenient appointment times, however, prime times can become busy, so it is best to book ahead as much as possible. valedictorian of Pocatello High School class of 2003. She went on to play basketball for Idaho State University for a year, and received her Bachelors of Science in Biology with Highest Honors in 2007. Blaire received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011 from Idaho State University, graduating top of her class as Most Outstanding Student. She then accepted a position at a private practice in the Idaho Orthopedics complex, where she specialized in Sports Rehabilitation and became the Physical Therapist for Idaho State University Athletics. She also developed the return to sport (or function) ACL/knee testing combination of the Biodex and Vail tests, and together with Dr. Ken Newhouse, MD, began a new era of successful ACL rehabilitation with excellent long-term results for all patients. In 2016, she struck out on her own and opened her own clinic, with nothing but a single portable massage table, her own equipment (mostly resistance bands), and a laptop. She was fortunate enough to have a substantial group of patients follow her to her new location, and from there, the clinic began to grow at a consistent (and rather quick) rate. She was quickly joined by Kate Youngblood, PTA (who also worked with her at the previous location), which marked the true formation of a ‘clinic’. In 2016, she received her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from ISU. Growth quickly necessitated the building of and moving to a much larger clinic in 2018, which is the current location of SSPT, and which continues to ever-expand further into the building owned by her father, Tim Zikratch, 40-year owner of In The Woods woodworking. Blaire is Functional Movement Screen Level-II Certified, a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and Level 2 Medical Professional, and Integrative Dry Needling Certified. She graduated with honors from the ISU Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2013 at the top of her class. She immediately began more extensive training in manual therapy techniques to address structural barriers, and neuromuscular training techniques to address functional problems. Over time, she has honed her manual therapy skills to meet the needs of various age groups and people of various activity levels. Kate followed Blaire to her new clinic in 2016, and the two have been working as a close team and pair ever since. Kate enjoys teaching her patients about their bodies and optimal performance, so they better understand what is causing pain, as she believes that the more involved a person is in their rehabilitation, the better they will heal. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2013, a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration in 2014, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2021, all from Idaho State University. Mike has an extensive background in athletics, specifically track and field. Mike competed in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Trials for the pole vault and placed top 8 at the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland, OR. His personal record was 19 feet (world record is currently 20 feet, 3.25 inches). She injured her knee and received physical therapy through the ISU clinic. While receiving therapy, she experienced the learning opportunity between the instructors and students and decided to make a career change and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. Since graduation, she has provided rehab to all ages of the pediatric population, orthopedic injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Chris holds certifications in yoga, Pilates, and Spinning, where she enjoys incorporating that knowledge into her practice as a physical therapist. She enjoys interacting with her patients, providing individual care, and assisting them to return to the activities that they enjoy most.
